Located in the cluster of Dau Tieng 1-2-3 Solar Power Plants with a total capacity of 600MWDC, Dau Tieng 3 Solar Power Plant – Tay Ninh is one of the first projects in exploiting and developing the great potential of renewable energy, solar power in Tay Ninh under the Government’s policy to encourage the development of renewable energy. The plant was built mainly on the semi-flooded part of Dau Tieng Lake where the land area “emerges” in the dry season and submerge into the water in the rising water season every year. The solar panels are placed on solid concrete piles that are nearly 3 meter high, ensuring their operation against flooding during the rising water season. Dau Tieng 3 solar power plant contributes more than 287 million kWh per year of electricity output to the national power source.
